About UCAIR
The Utah Clean Air Partnership (UCAIR) is Governor Herbert's statewide initiative to improve
air quality in Utah. UCAIR emphasizes collaboration, education, and motivation to meet this
objective. By building clean air partnerships with businesses, organizations and governments,
educating Utahns on air quality challenges and solutions, and providing resources and tools to
reduce emissions, UCAIR is leading the charge to improve air quality throughout the state.
Individuals, businesses, and governments are key to the success of UCAIR. This initiative provides information on ways to voluntarily reduce emissions and presents participants with a tiered list of actions they can implement that benefit Utah's public health, quality of life, and economy. UCAIR also offers incentives and recognition programs that inspire employers, employees, and individuals to become clean air leaders.
Core UCAIR strategies include:
- Travel
- Energy Efficiency
- Paints and Solvents
- Two Stroke Engines
Each strategy offers effective ways to reduce air emissions and provides calculators that track progress. Pledge pages for individuals, government, and business include qualitative and quantitative action items designed to improve air quality. When participants take the UCAIR pledge, they agree to implement some or all of these action items. By making a commitment to reduce air pollution, participants help everyone in Utah breathe a little easier.
Join UCAIR. Be the change.
"We can all agree that we all want clean air to breathe. All of us, every single one of us, have an
opportunity to help clean up the air."—Governor Gary Herbert
